What This Program Is

JR Hood is a HUD-authorized Third Party Tracer that helps homeowners recover unclaimed FHA mortgage insurance refunds. We first contact homeowners by physical mail only. Each letter lists our business phone number, (727) 346-6498. We never send marketing text messages, and we never text anyone who has not first contacted us or asked us to text them.

How You Opt In (every path we use)

  1. You text us first. If you send a text message to (727) 346-6498 or (727) 220-2177 — for example, in response to the letter you received — we may reply with one-to-one conversational messages about your refund claim.
  2. You ask us during a phone call. If, during a call with us, you ask to receive information by text (such as a secure e-signature link or a status update), we note your consent in your case log before any message is sent.
  3. You submit our claim form. The claim form at jrhood.com (reached via your personalized letter) displays this disclosure above the submit button: “By submitting this form, you consent to receive text messages and emails from JR Hood regarding your refund claim, including status updates, signing links, and follow-up reminders. Message frequency varies. Reply STOP to opt out at any time. Msg&Data rates may apply.” Providing a phone number is voluntary and consent is not a condition of any purchase.
