About JR Hood

JR Hood is a HUD-authorized Third Party Tracer operated by Mindstorm Unlimited LLC. We help homeowners claim FHA mortgage insurance refunds through HUD’s official Third Party Tracer program.

Our Service

We identify people who are owed FHA refunds using HUD’s public database, locate their current contact information, and handle the paperwork to get their money to them. This includes preparing your claim, filing it with HUD, and following up until your refund is paid.

Our Fee

Our finder’s fee is 25% of the refund amount. You keep 75%. This fee is clearly disclosed in the finder’s fee agreement, which you review and sign before we take any action on your behalf. No surprises.

You Can Always File Directly

You are entitled to claim your refund directly through HUD at no cost. Visit HUD’s refund page to check your eligibility and file on your own. JR Hood exists for those who’d rather have someone handle the process for them.

Using Our Website

By using jrhood.com or submitting a claim form, you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the site — and feel free to file directly with HUD instead.

Text Messages (SMS)

If you provide a phone number on our claim form, you may receive transactional text messages related to your refund claim (signing links, status updates, reminders).

Limitation of Liability

We do our best, but we can’t guarantee HUD will approve every claim or that refunds will arrive by a specific date. HUD controls the timeline. We’ll keep you updated every step of the way.
